Hello OPPC Friends & Family ~ The seasons are changing, but support for young mothers/parents and babies are always needed! OPPC will be joining Georgia Wellness Group's "Walk For Wellness" on October 24! Your generosity is more than a donation, it is a tangible reminder to every woman and family who walks through GA Wellness' doors that they are seen, valued, and not alone. Whether it's providing affordable prenatal care, postpartum support, parenting resources, or simply a compassionate presence during an uncertain time, your partnership allows GA Wellness to continue meeting patients with hope and practical care. Here's a story: One young mother went to Georgia Wellness as a 16-year-old high school student after finding herself unexpectedly pregnant and without the support system she desperately needed. When her father learned of her pregnancy, he asked her to leave home. She found shelter with the baby’s father’s family, and the two of them began preparing for parenthood despite having very limited resources. When she went to GA Wellness, the team stepped in to ensure she received the compassionate care she deserved. GA Wellness provided free prenatal care and welcomed both her and the baby’s father into their Thrive & Summit education programs. Through these programs, they are receiving parenting education, encouragement, and essential items needed to prepare for their baby’s arrival. They also plan to continue their care with GA Wellness after birth through their pediatric services.
