John Martignoni began his career in the defense industry, working as a cost analyst for several years before returning to the University of North Carolina to pursue a Ph.D. in Finance.  Although he did not complete the doctorate, that season of study proved life-changing, as it ultimately led him back to the Catholic Church.

John was a cafeteria Catholic for a couple of years until getting hold of Scott Hahn’s Conversion Story talk and delving deeply into apologetics. John’s first public practice of apologetics was to protest a virulently anti-Catholic program that was aired on the largest Evangelical radio station in Alabama, and wound up with a live, 1-hr. per week program on that same station doing Catholic apologetics. He started giving talks at parishes soon after and that grew into a full-time job at which he has been working for the last 12 years.

John is the Founder and President of the Bible Christian Society, an apologetics and evangelization apostolate that reaches hundreds of thousands each year across all 50 states and throughout the world with the truths of the Catholic Faith.

He also serves as Director of the Office of Evangelization and Pro-Life for the Diocese of Birmingham. John is the author of several books, including Blue Collar Apologetics: How to Explain and Defend Catholic Teaching Using Common Sense, Simple Logic, and the Bible and A Blue-Collar Answer to Protestantism: Catholic Questions Protestants Can’t Answer, published by EWTN Publishing and Sophia Press.

John and his wife of 29 years, Janel, have four children.
